Job Description
We are seeking an experienced pipefitter to support commercial, healthcare, and industrial mechanical projects throughout the Charleston area. This role involves installing, assembling, and maintaining piping systems that support HVAC, hydronic, steam, and gas systems on large-scale construction and service projects.
Responsibilities
- Install, assemble, and fabricate piping systems including carbon steel, stainless steel, copper, and PVC.
- Read and interpret blueprints, isometrics, and specifications.
- Perform pipe fitting for HVAC hydronic systems, chilled water, hot water, steam, and gas.
- Measure, cut, thread, groove, weld, or solder pipe as required.
- Set hangers, supports, valves, and related mechanical components.
- Work safely in active commercial and healthcare environments.
- Coordinate with foremen, supervisors, and other trades on site.
- Follow all safety protocols and quality control standards.
- 3+ years of experience as a pipefitter in commercial or industrial settings.
- Strong knowledge of piping systems, fittings, and materials.
- Ability to read prints and work independently or as part of a crew.
- Experience working on healthcare or institutional projects preferred.
- OSHA certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).
- Reliable transportation and tools.

Work Environment
Work schedule is Monday to Friday, 7:00am to 4:30pm. Engage in a dynamic work environment across hospitals, healthcare facilities, commercial buildings, and industrial plants.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Charleston, SC.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $30.00 - $34.00/hr.
