Job Overview
Aerotek is supporting multiple fast-paced commercial electrical construction projects in the Austin, TX area and is seeking experienced Commercial Electricians for long-term work. Journeyman Electricians are paying $35/hr–$40.00/hr based on experience.
These projects are conduit-intensive and require electricians who can bend conduit efficiently, maintain production, and work at a steady pace in an active construction environment.
Commercial Electricians will work on new construction projects performing electrical installations, including running conduit, pulling wire, installing lighting and devices, and working from construction drawings. This is a production-driven role ideal for electricians who are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
Key Responsibilities
- Bend and install conduit (approximately 200 ft of ¾” conduit per day)
- Pull wire and cable through conduit systems
- Install lighting, electrical fixtures, and devices
- Perform electrical terminations
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Layout and install conduit systems for new construction projects
- Use standard electrical tools and a cordless drill
- Assist with basic troubleshooting as needed
- Follow all safety procedures (no live wire work)
- Maintain productivity and meet daily goals
- Keep work areas clean and organized
- Collaborate with other trades on-site
Requirements
- 4–5+ years of commercial electrical experience
- Strong skills in:
- Conduit bending and installation
- Wire pulling
- Blueprint reading
- Electrical terminations and installations
- Experience using standard electrical hand tools
- Ability to work full-time (Monday–Friday) with overtime and weekends as needed
- Commitment to safety and working on de-energized systems
Work Environment
- New construction school projects in:
- Georgetown
- Round Rock
- Elgin
- Bastrop
- Schedule:
- Monday–Friday: 7:00 AM – 3:30/4:00 PM
- Overtime and Saturdays frequently available
- Indoor and outdoor construction work
- Physically active role (walking, standing, climbing)
- Fast-paced, production-driven environment
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Austin, TX.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $41.79 - $87.76/hr.
