Job Title: Quality Engineer
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced CMM Programmer / Quality Engineer to serve as a key interface between Quality, Engineering, and the Machine Shop. This role is heavily focused on CMM programming and GD&T, with direct customer interaction to support inspection strategies, reporting, and quality communication. The ideal candidate is hands-on, technically strong, and comfortable jumping into a fast-paced environment with minimal ramp-up.
Responsibilities
- Develop, optimize, and maintain CMM programs to support production and customer requirements.
- Interpret complex engineering drawings and blueprints, including advanced GD&T callouts.
- Support inspection planning, first-article inspections, and ongoing quality verification.
- Generate and review CMM inspection reports, ensuring accuracy and customer-specific formatting.
- Act as the primary quality interface for select customers, including participating in calls and technical discussions related to inspection and quality results.
- Collaborate closely with Engineering, Quality, and Machine Shop teams to resolve inspection challenges and improve processes.
- Provide insight and recommendations for inspection strategy improvements and program optimization.
- Support secondary quality activities such as audits, corrective actions, and customer returns as needed.
Essential Skills
- Strong CMM programming and inspection planning experience (Verisurf or Calypso preferred).
- Practical GD&T knowledge.
- Metrology experience including final inspections and first-article inspections.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and program a CMM.
- Experience with audit processes, customer returns, and corrective actions.
- AS9100 experience.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Engineering degree preferred (Associate degree with experience, or equivalent hands-on expertise).
- Expereience in aerospace, semiconductor, or precision machining preferred.
- Experience inspecting parts made from engineered plastics like PEEK, PPS, PTFE, Torlon, Vespel, and metals such as aluminum, stainless steel, and copper.
Work Environment
The position requires working onsite from Monday to Friday, 8AM to 5PM.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $100000.00/yr.
ESP covers Medical 100% for each employee (coverage will begin on the first day of the month following the first 30 days of employment) and offers a Safe Harbor 401k program with up to a 4.0% match. Vacation accrual will accrue at 2 weeks per year, accruing per pay period, and increasing per our Paid Time Off policy shown in our handbook.
