What You'll Do
As an Assembler, you'll be responsible for the complete mechanical and electrical assembly of equipment from start to finish. Every day brings a mix of hands-on work, problem-solving, and collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
✅ Build and assemble electro-mechanical units using a variety of hand and power tools
✅ Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, blueprints, and service manuals
✅ Lay out and build control panels, including PLC and drive hardware (no programming required)
✅ Assemble conveyors, install motors, and build panel boards to specification
✅ Install wiring, terminals, jump fuses, electrical panels, and related components
✅ Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical issues during assembly
✅ Perform both detailed technical assembly work and fundamental production tasks as needed
✅ Support warehouse, packaging, shipping, and general facility operations when required
✅ Utilize computer-based programs and software to support production activities
✅ Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient work environment
✅ Collaborate with teammates to meet production goals and support the successful expansion of our manufacturing operation
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of electro-mechanical assembly experience
- Ability to read and understand schematics, wiring diagrams, blueprints, and service manuals
- Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of electrical fundamentals
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, wiring equipment, and assembly tools
- Experience installing electrical components including terminals, panels, and fuses
- Ability to build and lay out control panels and panel boards
- Experience assembling conveyors and installing motors
- Troubleshooting and repair experience in mechanical and electrical systems
- Comfortable learning and using production-related software and technology
- Ability to understand, communicate, and follow assembly processes independently

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Richmond, VA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00/hr.
