We're proud to share that CareerCircle has been awarded a Gold Stevie Award for Achievement in Accessibility for our website and platform.

What's a Stevie Award?

Often referred to as the "Oscars of the business world," the Stevie Awards are among the most coveted business honors globally. Since 2002, they've recognized achievement across more than 60 nations, with this year’s competition drawing more than 3,700 nominations from organizations of every size and industry.

What makes this recognition so meaningful is the process behind it. Every entry is evaluated by a panel of expert judges, drawn from a pool of more than 1,000 respected executives, entrepreneurs, and industry leaders worldwide. The Gold Stevie is awarded to the highest-scoring entry in each category, which means this recognition reflects work that stood out against a deep and competitive field.

What We Submitted and Why It Matters

Our submission centered on a platform-wide initiative to achieve Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA compliance, a comprehensive audit and remediation effort that touched every corner of CareerCircle.com.

Here's what that looked like:

  • We partnered with Be Accessible to audit the platform, identifying where we fell short of WCAG 2.2 AA standards.

  • Our Product, Design, and Development teams resolved over 140 critical, high, and medium priority errors, addressing color contrast, font sizes, alt text, click targets, tab functionality, and screen reader compatibility across every page.

  • We were formally revalidated against WCAG 2.2 AA standards.

  • Our internal site health score jumped from 67 to 86, placing us in the top 10% of high-performing sites industry-wide.

But here's what we're most proud of: we built accessibility into the fundamental architecture of our platform rather than bolting on a third-party plug-in. Many platforms rely on overlays that let users toggle accessibility features on as needed. We don’t think that’s good enough. Accessibility shouldn't be something a member has to opt into. It should be how the product works from the first click.

On our 2025 survey all member survey, responses showed users noticed our work. Here is what one user had to say:

"CareerCircle is easy to use and I enjoy the ease of the functions when it comes to the job search process."

What This Award Means for Our Hiring Partners

When our members, and we mean all of our members, can use the platform effectively, our hiring partners get better outcomes. It's that simple.

Today, our partners have access to a platform where 1 in 7 members have self-identified as professionals with disabilities since we launched our self-identification feature in 2024, and where 225,000+ members are looking for opportunities. They're also tapping into strategic relationships with organizations like Broad Futures, Hire Autism, United Spinal Association, the National Organization on Disability, and National Industries for the Blind, all of which feed a pipeline of skilled, job-ready talent.

Our partners get real visibility into their recruiting efforts. They're reaching an engaged audience, with a 70% engagement rate among members actively seeking career advancement, and they get detailed candidate engagement reports that track who's clicking, applying, and moving through the hiring process. Virtual career fairs, webinars, and targeted job promotion put their brand in front of the right communities. And because our platform is built to WCAG 2.2 AA standards, the skilled veterans, professionals with disabilities, and community-affiliated candidates they're trying to reach can engage with their open roles.

That's what this Gold Stevie represents to us. Not just a trophy, but proof that the infrastructure behind our partners' hiring goals is working the way it should.

Let's Keep Building

The Gold Stevie is recognition of work we've been doing for years, and work we'll keep doing. If you'd like to learn more about what it looks like to partner with CareerCircle, we'd love to talk.
